It is always exciting and more “real” when an actual Chaplain – a person that serves “in the trenches” can speak at a church or event about GraceInside and about what our Chaplains do. One such individual that stays very busy speaking at churches and events around the Commonwealth is Chaplain Nick Meyer (Coffeewood Correctional Center). On October 30, 2022, Chaplain Nick spoke at the Charlottesville Mennonite Church. After that, Nick served as guest speaker for the Roanoke Valley Baptist Association’s WMUV Missions Celebration, held this past fall at Bonsack Baptist Church (near Roanoke). This in turn led to another speaking engagement, this one for “WMUV Sunday” at Vinton Baptist Church in Vinton, VA (near Roanoke) – this one on Feb. 26th, 2023. We thank Chaplain Nick for his passion for prison ministry/chaplaincy and for his faithfulness in getting out there and telling our story!
