GraceInside Attends Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia’s 104th Annual Convention

As Randy continued to deal with the health issues of his elderly parents, the “Power Team” of Rev. Lois Carter (Outreach & Community Relations Manager) and Mr. Lee Hargrave (Office Manager/Executive Assistant) hit the road once again to serve as GraceInside’s representatives for another annual denominational convention.  This was the 104th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, held at The Hotel Roanoke on January 27-29, 2023

As you likely know, many of Virginia’s state prisons fall within the counties that make up this Diocese.  This is why we are SO grateful that this Diocese continues to support us in their Annual Budget.  Lois and Lee report that the convention delegates and attendees were very open and friendly and curious about how prison chaplaincy and religious programs are doing post-pandemic.  They had many excellent conversations with Clergy and Laity alike.  Lois also was blessed with the opportunity to chat briefly with Bishop Mark Bourlakas to update him on happenings with our ministry and to thank him for his continued support.  Lee of course snagged a picture of the two of them!
