From April 1st through April 30th, 2022, we held our Annual Easter Campaign!!! What a blessing! Our supporters came out full force and more than met the challenge we had set forth. Our goal was $25,000, but our donors went beyond that and we’re so grateful. We raised nearly $29,000, and with that, we’re able to offer more hours to our Chaplains so they can better coordinate and lead religious programs, teach, preach and offer pastoral care at their assigned facilities.
Easter is of course all about Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the grave. That amazing event changed the world and the course of human history. But it also gave each and every one of us HOPE (even in the darkest times). After prayer and discussion, our team came up with a theme, centered around HOPE. Our focal scripture verse for the campaign was 1 Peter 1:3 (NIV): “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
GraceInside Chaplains go into the state prison facilities every day to bring this LIVING HOPE to both the incarcerated men and women and to correctional staff members. They bring light into some very dark places. A huge, hearty THANK YOU to YOU, our faithful and generous donors. In the spirit of EASTER, in the spirit of HOPE, you sacrifice to make it possible for our Chaplains to offer “GRACE INSIDE”!
