Checks
Checks can be mailed to GraceInside at 2828 Emerywood Parkway, Henrico, VA 23294. On the memo line, please write in if you want your gift to support the overall operating budget, the salary of a chaplain at a specific prison, or chaplain supplies at a specific prison.
Online (Credit Card)
Online donations can be submitted by clicking on the Donate button. After clicking the donate button, you can select if you want your gift to support the overall operating budget, the salary of a chaplain at a specific prison, or chaplain supplies at a specific prison.
Appreciated Stock
Appreciated stock is an excellent way for donors to support GraceInside while avoiding capital gains taxes. The way to do this is to give your broker the information for GraceInside’s account to receive stock: DTC #2663 and Account #800170. Next, email finance@graceinside.org to let the Finance Manager know the name of the stock and number of shares that are being transferred. GraceInside will also need your contact information: name, phone number, physical address, and email address. Please also indicate how you want your gift applied: to support the overall operating budget, the salary of a chaplain at a specific prison, or chaplain supplies at a specific prison. The Finance Manager will let GraceInside’s broker know about the incoming stock and will also send you a tax donation letter.
Planned/Estate Gifts
You can make a gift in your will to fund the continued operations of GraceInside through its endowment. Please contact the leadership of GraceInside to talk about how you want to fund GraceInside either now and/or in the future through a regular or sizeable endowment gift. GraceInside can work with you on the purpose and distribution of your gift to benefit current and future needs of Virginia’s prison population. Why You Give
Operating Fund
About 96% of GraceInside’s annual operating budget goes directly to chaplain and staff salaries. Gifts to the operating budget will be used to cover these salaries and other general expenses.
Chaplain Salary Support
You or your church can support a chaplain at a specific prison (or several prisons) by sponsoring them directly. This support can allow us to hire additional chaplains or provide for extra coverage hours.
Chaplain Supplies Support
Chaplains frequently have needs which are not funded by the prison. These include communion materials, Bibles, hymn books, Christian education books, band and music supplies, etc. You or your church can provide the financial support to fund these materials not in the operating budget.
